The approach we take with this deep healing work:

K

We get to know your mind, (with no shame, blame or judgement)

We start with Parts Therapy as a way of getting to know the different sides of yourself. The devilish, the shy, the insecure, the ones you’d rather keep hidden. All of them have something to say.

Whether you’ve been in therapy for years or you’re just beginning, this is often where the first big shift happens: realising you are not your mind.

The mind can feel like a busy circus, full of stories, self-criticism and loops that keep you stuck. Those stories can quietly chip away at how you see yourself and others.

So we start by listening. By meeting those parts with curiosity instead of judgment because when you stop fighting your inner chaos, you can begin to understand it… and that’s where real change starts.

then we befriend the body and start listening to it regularly

The body has been left out of therapy for far too long.

When my mum died, I found myself working in this way almost by instinct. It wasn’t planned. It was more like my body took the lead when my mind couldn’t make sense of anything.

It felt wild at first, like the moment I began Parts Therapy and realised I wasn’t my thoughts and that I could step back from the stories running on repeat. It was confusing, even mind-boggling at times but slowly, something shifted. For the first time, I wasn’t just thinking about healing.

I was actually starting to feel it..

Feel more of your realness and integrate everything slowly.

This part really matters. So many people finish therapy feeling proud of the work they’ve done (and that’s beautiful) but then rush straight back into life without giving their body the space to catch up.

It’s not about analysing or overthinking what’s changed. It’s about feeling it. Noticing the subtler shifts before your mind starts spinning new stories.

In our work together, I’ll teach you simple, practical ways to be with your mind and body in a more nourishing way. We will provide tools you can use day to day to stay connected, grounded and confident within yourself to articulate your wants and needs.

Think of it as building your own mind–body toolkit: ways to feel, sense and move through life with more ease and confidence than you thought possible.

Understanding your mind, clearing your body and creating new ways of being (that isn’t a performance) isn’t a quick fix. It’s a process… but one that’s deeply worth it and incredibly liberating.

Healing happens when we embrace the wisdom of our body and let it lead the way to emotional freedom.

What makes this work different?

Unlike traditional therapy, which focuses primarily on thoughts and behaviour, Somatic Counselling integrates both mind and body.

We help you explore:

  • What you’re feeling

  • Where you’re feeling it

  • Why your body might be holding it

And rather than simply talking about what happened, we guide you into processing what your body still carries from subtle tension to long-held mindset/ trauma patterns.

What you might experience

  • A deepening connection to your body and intuition

  • Release of long-held emotional or physical tension

  • Clearer boundaries and more authentic communication

  • Greater confidence, clarity and/ or calm

  • A sense of safety in your own skin

It’s about anchoring you into your own natural wisdom.
